Previous command below was working.

USE Com1: "\\Client\Com1:"

I am now recieving the error 'the device is invalid' I am assumming com1 is invalid. Once I am fully log into the net work I am able to map the above command manually. Any clues as to this error would be appreciated. This script is running on an NT4 Terminal Server, with the lastest SP's.

Dear Bill,

Welcome to the board.

Some question?
- was the script always running on an NT4 terminal server, or did you migrate
to it?
- what kixtart version you are running?
- what is the effect when you use the net use instead of use command?
f.e. "net use" by your batch file or by a SHELL kixtart function call.
greetings.

I ended up using the Shell command to map the com port. The USE function must have broken during one of the upgrades to a newer version of kixtart. Thanks.

I have the same problem.

This worked fine with 3.6... but with 4.53 it does not work anymore.

I can map the command fine with a standard net use command.

We are running windows 2003 sp1 terminal services with Citrix Presentation Server 4.

Thanks
Scott
