Acctually, no. I am not kidding. I've been able to almost draw straight lines regarding thinking kix and thinking perl, but then - I haven't written anything usefull yet. What I can agree on tho is reading someone elses code, not only will it drive you crazy if written in shorthand, it looks like something a 4 year old doodled with bashing the keyboard \:D .

Been thinking about PHP alot, used it a tiny bit a few years ago when building a few private sites, but nothing since then. The only thing regarding cross-plattform, is acctually getting php installed on a win-box... that's not something I wish to do again, ever.

But then, php can easily be run via a webserver/browser (doh), so that can take care of most cross-plattform needs \:\)
