If time permits I will take the board off line today and perform a backup and then upgrade to PHP 5.20

Currently working on an issue where the %temp% files created by the board are not being removed automatically.

UUB Threads 7.1 is currently in beta which may address some of the issues discussed from this last update. The upgrade from 6.5.1 to 7.02 was a big change to the underlying code and basically many of the details/methods/issues were simply missed or overlooked and are now trying to be addressed by the 7.1 update.
This does not mean all will be "perfect" but hopefully correct some annoyances.

As for all the page GUI/LOOK change requests - please don't ask anymore. Please try to understand that the board is for use by EVERYONE and there just is no way to please everyone so we're not going to make GUI changes unless they drastically affect the operation of the board.

Board is now running PHP 5.20, MySQL 5.0.27, and UBBT 7.02

The default search period has been modified to 4 years per requests.

Love it... The new SEARCH SPEED is AWESOME

Just typing in a search term in the basic input box brings back tons of replies in a second.

I guess the few days of waiting before doing this is fixed by some sort of patch? Or is a few days just two days?
Anyway thanks for expanding the time span. I love the new fast search.

If it is so fast, why limit it to 4 years? I think some of the FAQs are older than that. If it isn't too hard on resources, why not make it 6 years?

Well I suppose we could, but if we have relevant FAQs that are that old then perhaps we should update them, post to them or manually alter the date so that they show up as semi new.

I'm not saying that we can't do 6 years but 6 years in our Industry is almost a lifetime.

Okay I set it to 9 years and a search still comes back in like 1 second for me.
Granted not many people on the board and not too active, but currently seems fine at 9 years.

I tried to put some color between code tags:
Code:
Break [color:#FF0000]On[/color]

Break On
Apparently something has changed?

Well... IMHO inside code tags, it should be that way.

You can use quote tags.

I guess so...
code tags
Code:
[color:#0000FF]break[/color] [color:#0000FF]on[/color]

[color:#0000FF]dim[/color] [color:#000000]$var[/color],[color:#000000]$i[/color]
[color:#000000]$var[/color]=[color:#008080]"this is a test"[/color]
[color:#0000FF]for[/color] [color:#000000]$i[/color]=[color:#4682B4]1[/color] [color:#0000FF]to[/color] [color:#4682B4]10[/color]
  ? [color:#000000]$i[/color]
[color:#0000FF]next[/color]

? [color:#000000]$var[/color]

quote tags keeps colors but loses formating
Quote:

break on

dim $var,$i
$var="this is a test"
for $i=1 to 10
? $i
next

? $var

and no tag loses formating too...

break on

dim $var,$i
$var="this is a test"
for $i=1 to 10
? $i
next

? $var

I thought PostPrep did not use code tags.
But now additional breaks are added [Edit]In the preview of the reply[/Edit].

If NOT @LOGONMODE
Break On
Else
Break Off
EndIf
Dim $RC
$RC = SetOption("Explicit","On")
$RC = SetOption("NoVarsInStrings","On")
$RC = SetOption("NoMacrosInStrings","On")
$RC = SetOption("WrapAtEOL","On")
? "Hello World"

<font color=#0000FF>dim</font> <font color=#000000>$var</font>,<font color=#000000>$i</font>
<font color=#000000>$var</font>=<font color=#008080>"this is a test"</font>
<font color=#0000FF>for</font> <font color=#000000>$i</font>=<font color=#4682B4>1</font> <font color=#0000FF>to</font> <font color=#4682B4>10</font>

nope.
was in different place in the old board and was set to "ubb and html" by default.
but that results in messy stuff and should not be used, imho.
