A "BSOD" is exactly how I felt yesterday after our US mates forgot to show up.

As an Australian I am very much enjoying the World Cup. Australia has only been to the World Cup once before in 1974 and I wasn't even 1 at the time. In that World Cup we only got one goal in the competition and it was a home goal!
On Sunday, not only did we get our first goal against an opposition (Japan), we got 3! It was a remarkable match as we were losing 1-0 (unfairly) until the final 7 minutes. As you can imagine, the final 7 minutes were absolutely incredible to watch.
We are actually now at the top of our group; even above Brazil! Everyone here is really enjoying our good fortune while it lasts as we have no expectations nor illusions that it will continue (we're ranked 44th in the world and we're playing Brazil next)
