I have been trying to run some simple group mappins. I have checked rights and the mapping will work for some groups but not others.

IF INGROUP ("LBO-ATL-GA")
RUN "net use f: /d /y"
RUN "net use f: \\ntfs1\lbo-atl-ga"
ENDIF

Recommend changing the commands. If you wish to use NET USE, try:
SHELL "%comspec% /c net use f: /d /y"
SHELL "%comspec% /c net use f: \\ntfs1\lbo-atl-ga"

If you wish to utilize KiX mapping command, try:
USE "f:" /d
USE "f:" "\\ntfs1\lbo-atl-ga"

The logic is working the problem seems to be the groups are not found. For example if the group "OPS" is used the maping works. If the group "LBO_ATL_GA" is used the login fails. It seems like the the groups are limited to 8 characters.

WJR,
The groups are not limited to 8 characters because I successfully use Case InGroup("CWOPA\RV-PERSONNEL-ALL") in my script.

There has to be something else. Most of the time it is a missing quote in a previous line somewhere that is the culprit.

I did notice from your first posting to the last posting that your format changed on your group from LBO-ATL-GA TO LBO_ATL_GA.

Dear,

Welcome to the board.

Which configuration you are using?
Server: NT/W2K/Novell?
Clients: W95/W98/ME/NT/W2K/XP?

Can you map specified drive from a DOS box in a correct way?
Greetings.
