These uneducated people that share one single brain cell can be found in every country. Each country has some people that do not even know where there own country is on a map. Shame on them is my opinion. Go back to school or ask the money back the parents paid for it. True, As a Dutch guy you probably know the "Vakantieman" TV program from the 80's in which people were asked in which Country they are on vacation. Being such a large country it could be easier to be less informed on the rest of the world. I wonder though if the US press also has something to do with it? I have to say that I find it somewhat amusing that the few times I have watched the "ABC World news", the vast majority of the show was on events that had occured in the US Of course, you get the same proportion of people in each country that are stupid, but it is probably a lot easier for the stupid people in a country the size of the US to be uninformed on the rest of the world.

They might've interviewed 50 people but they only showed you the biggest of the dipshits that they found. I could've told you where each one of those countries existed on a map right down to Sri Lanka yet, you won't see me or anyone else pointing out the correct information on a news cast like that. Case and point with the "unbiased" opinion issue (and I'm going to pre-apologize for the rest of the world's citizens as this is a US issue) but the immigration problem we're having is totally one-sided in the news. All you see on the major news networks are the protests BY the illegal immigrants and never the other side of the coin. i have no problem with people going where they please but me as a tax-paying American, would like to believe that my tax dollars are helping OTHER tax-paying Americans and not people who work for a fraction of what they should (in the US) and STILL get coverage for medical bills, use the roads and services that tax-payers $$ pay for, etc. but you don't see my side of the argument in any interviews or anything like that. I mean, I'm in Iraq right now fighting a war on the personal belief that I'm doing the right thing because a genocidal maniac is out of power. Now my justifications may not be the US's reasons for being here but it's what I tell myself so I can sleep at night. =P As far as my personal answer to the reporter's question: While I don't think we should attack whole countries for terrorism, I think Iran is the most likely "next target". And Iran would be either in the red zone or in the water between "Yurop" and the red zone on Jochen's map. =P

We had one girl (which wasn't dumb otherwise) who couldn't show Hungary or Poland on the map, and as the teacher asked on she went more and more uncomfortable whith her performance. At the end she wasn't even able to tell where was north on the map. I think she had a bad case of stage-fright, now transform this situation to the one where you face a camera and a microphone _________________________
