I would go for "the progress bar" over "muzak" ... we use "the progress bar" and it give our user's a warm and fuzzy. Use the "the progress bar" - got to get "the progress bar" ;0)
Besides - (seriously) - the progress bar is more "business-like/professional" in my opinion. Not sure that muzak is appropriate for the office - idk - its your office ;0)
