Before Les goes and hangs himself... let's try to make him feel a little better and recognize him for his contributions on the korg. Good Job guy. Thanks for your efforts.

Probably more the latter than the former since so many like to hand out silver platter stuff and I prefer to nudge. I still am not nearly as much a blabbermouth as Jooel.

With recent job cuts here my workload will more than double, so expect my participation on this board to drop off considerably.

Thanks guys

Is there more than 1 programmer in Fort Francis I always had a vision of you out in your log cabin - going to work every day with your dog sled

PS: You do give the board a unique attitude & flavour that would be missed if it was not there. Congradulations

It would be unknown to korg so it could not be missed if it wasn't here imho

Good job Les! Congratulations.

True, one cannot miss what one never had. I think maybe he meant to say "if it was taken away" but thanks anyway.

Actually, I am not a programmer, just a sysadmin. Scripting is not really programming, just a close cousin. We lost a good programmer that was not much of a scripter. She knows I am no programmer and probably thinks I am not much of a scripter either.

No log cabin, although I do sometimes claim to have been born in one that I built with my own bare hands.
I live in a modern home that I built (1998) in the bush and have only one dog. I drive a 2000 Buick Century over paved and tarmacked roads to/from work.

Congrats Les,

at least you are indeed a good sysadmin ... otherwise you won't have survived the first round of the stuff you described on Mods forum

lol, don't laugh too hard - last thing I knew, Les was still running low-speed. Figured with all his new responsibilites, the company would spring for high-speed, eh Les ? ;0) But then again, now might not be the best time for asking mgmt for perks.

We should make a charity thing ... The official 'donate-to-give-Les-DSL' thread.
We could establish a paypal account were donations can be made

Hmmm ... or is this impossible in teh wood ?

There is one ISP that offers 512kbps over wireless today and another big player will be joining in soon.

If you look at the map, I live within the confluence of the two existing towers, Fort Frances and Burriss (Devlin).

LOL
We have a running joke around here.

Q. What plans do you have for this summer?
A. That depends... if it falls on a weekend, we might barbeque.
