So what are you saying - that the prefetch can get "stale" and that this can hinder performance ... how does purging the prefetch improve performance ? btw - I know very little about the prefetch, so just asking questions here bud. This idea is being floated around our company as something we might want to do - just want to understand the "why" and "how come".
