hi, I flushed DNS cache using ipconfig /flushdns and after that i even restarted the machine. i did the same on the domian controller too. (while allocating the static I.P. to the machine second time, i had deleted the entry from active directory.) But still i m getting the same error

hey Richard, thanks a lot.  Problem has been resolved. i traversed to the following link: DNS\"DOMAIN CONTROLLER name"\Forward Lookup Zones\Great.com in DNS window. here i found the old I.P. for machine1. after updating it, i restarted DNS service & voila, ping is working properly.
