And once again Google proves that it can be dangerous to you even when they didn't mean to be.

FAQ: When Google is not your friend

Google appears to be a prime leader in working towards Orwell's novel 1984

ROFL - It's coming like a freight train and doesn't look like there is anything that can stop it. The technology to know every aspect of one's life is out there and not just Internet stuff. Satellite,Camera,Internet,Universal Government ID cards,Medical records,DNA Gene matching,etc...

By the time some of this is full swing I'll probably be in a wheel chair with Alzheimer's Disease and not caring.

It's all about Money and Control. Both of which the average Citizen around the World has little of.

Another example is booking online... many flight/travel companies note how many times you've visited them for price inquiries, and raises the prices the more times you check without booking...

that's stupid!
they should do the opposite.
if ppl don't book it's because the price is too high already.
with raising it even more, they alienate even more customers. idiots.

NTDOC, I don't know about you, but it seems to me that ancient prophecies about events at the end of the world couldn't take place without this type of computer technology. It's a frightening/Exciting time when I look at it from that perspective.

Check out: http://www.digitalangelcorp.com/

GPS implants that track your every move, monitor your heart rate, and store your medical record, credit history, criminal records, etc., etc.

I sense a change in the wind......

It just keeps getting better

Google software allows remote access to PCs
http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/internet/02/09/google.desktop.ap/index.html

The ability to search a computer remotely is included in Google's latest upgrade to its software that scours hard drives for documents, e-mails, instant messages and an assortment of other information

Sure I trust them just like I do all politicians.

To enable the computer-to-computer search function, a user specifies what information should be indexed and then agrees to allow Google to transfer the material to its own storage system.

Or when the Bush administration orders them to turn it on remotely via an undisclosed additional feature

This was found out about last week at my place of employment. Using SMS we found anyone that had it, deleted it. And then using Websense were able to block anyone from downloading it.

There are many company's that may not block this that may end filing suit against google, as users that don't know any better will end up putting private/proprietary information onto googles servers..... Not good

Sure it is, you're missing the point I think. 1984 is coming and you can't stop it. Google,Microsoft,Oracle all want to be your link to complete Government control of the common man. I mean after all they KNOW what's best for you and you're simply not educated enough to realize it they think.

You said it their. I see the way things are progressing and it scares the *&^% out of me.

I can not speak for the rest of the world, but here in the good old USA, it is getting very scary.
