Great article. Fantastic. Couple of comments.
1) You mentioned Steve Wilsons' site (and yes, I do fondly remember that site - great resource) which of course is now defunct. But you didn't tell your readers about KORG, which I consider the center of the KiXtart universe now.
2) We all know the real reason that consultant suggested writting those "scripts" in "C" ... so that when you needed changes, you would have to hire him back at great expense ... KiXtart is easy for network types to pick-up.
