Congratulations Sander!

Remember it's not just the number of the posts that's important, only what's in them.

Congrats, Sander!

So true, Roger! However, to try and keep up with Shawn, we have to resort to quantity vs. quality.

Oh look! 888 posts for me.

Unfortunatley, posting more that once in a topic does not give more posts. You can post as many replys in this one and it will still register 1( the Loneliest number).

I don't think so.
My first post above was post 200 and the next in this topic was 201 and this one is 202.

So i guess the number on the bottom of this post does not mean anything. That is a good thing then!
I was looking at the numbers that are the same for each person in the same post. Not thinking that it is total posts and not the individual post.

Dear Sander,

Also congratulations.
Sometimes you had interesting questions and responses.
Sometimes it can take a while to put something on the board.
Sometimes another person was a little bit faster.
Sometimes no solution will be returned, but always: everybody is trying
to help each other.

Often people are reading the board.
Often reactions are put on the board.
Often somebody hits in his hundreds.

For the next one hunderd.
greetings.

MCA ... right on my brother !!!

The first 100 post are the hardest.

1) Your shy to post (some are)
2) Your just learning the kixtart language
3) Your learning the BBS culture (climate)
4) You don't know what history (knowledge) is already on the board. So its tough to know/remeber what to search for.

Making it to 100/200 posts IS a milestone. It means that you have more than a casual interest in KiXtart and that your interested in helping others and in promoting this wonderfull scripting language ... so here's hoping you'll get to 500, than 1000

Then after a while you'll get to be an old dawg like me and just post for the hell of it and not really care how many posts you have - all the while enjoying violating every rule of good BBS etiquette and just rambling, on and on and on ...

-Shawn

What Shawn, you ramble???

Point #1 aside, you've got me pegged.

We take a great deal of knowledge from this board. It feels good to give a little back.

eh ? exsqueeze-me ?

1) ok lets put that aside - you aint shy

2) your well past the just learning stage

3) you not only know the culture around here, you ARE the culture around here

4) your refering more and more to the knowledge base ... i've noticed.

But seriously, this board helped me out tremendously when I was just learning kixtart - way back in '99 when I was just starting to setup our corp. login scripts. Guys like Lon and Brad (bvvanor) and JackLothian and Bryce dispensing good (wise) advise and friendly help. But it's the mood or the feeling or the culture of this board that really got me hooked. I'm sure other BBS's are the same way - especially the "underground" ones but i can't say that about many of the other boards i've visited.

Off topic: Thinking back to those times when KiXtart was just an NT ResKit Tool. Can you believe that - a reskit tool like NETDOM or REG ? Now look how far kixtart has come in just a few short years - look how much its grown - whew !

-Shawn
