Greetings all,
I have a question about UDFs and their use. I would like to be able to check if Symantec Anti-Virus is installed on a user's computer, if it is, I would like to make sure that it has the most recent definitions, if not, to update them. On top of that, if SAV is not installed, I would like the administrator to be notified, either by writing that machine name to a file, or via message.
How would I do this. I have seen the UDF for checking if SAV is installed, do I just copy that into my script and be done with it? I guess I am just a little confused by their use. Are they separate scripts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
