Kdyer Kdyer KiX Supporter Registered: 2001-01-03 Posts: 6241 Loc: Tigard, OR	Ran into a snag with our login script last week.. If I use the following snip of code, KiXtart does not work: [code] IF EXIST($desktop+'\BrokerDB - Citrix') ; -- Do something ENDIF [/code] It gets hung up on the "-" as a funky umlaut u character. Also, I have tried using chr(45) in it's place and it does not work either. I have tried this with both a raw script was well as a tokenized version too. Richard H. Richard H. Administrator Registered: 2000-01-24 Posts: 4946 Loc: Leatherhead, Surrey, UK	Works fine here too (4.50). Is this a local filesystem or a networked one? If networked, what OS is the file server? Is your anti-virus sw causing the problem? Have you tried just isolating the Exist() function in a script on it's own of just two or three lines to ensure that it's not something else in the full script which is causing the problem? What is the context of the funky character? Where do you see it? Is it just a feature of the display rather than the Exist() function?
