I know this probably isn't directly related to Kix but you guys have used Kix so much I thought I would ask. We are getting the following error in a couple of our Win2000 computers.
Event Type: Error Event Source: UserInit Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 11/20/2005 Time: 10:02:29 AM User: N/A Computer: A018416 Description: Windows could not execute kix32.exe due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. The kix script is being applied via a GPO on the domain. It's only a few Win2000 computers experiencing this issue, the rest of the 2000 and all the XP boxes are working fine. The computers in question don't run any scripts at all, but all other GPO settings are being applied properly. Only the scripts applied in the GPO appear to be affected.
I googled this and searched Microsoft's website with no solution. I've tried dis-joining the computer from the domain and re-joining. Also tried resetting the computer account, but no luck.
Any ideas?
