The problem with these users is that they are going to be logging into 2 different type of machines.
So I need 2 different setups, and the big issue is that they are going to moving around, even to the extent where and what they are doing each day. This means I can not exlude them by user or group.
The downside of users have multiple work functions.
This really isn't a big issue. I have this at the top of my old login script:
; Determine login type $__LOGINMODE=Left(%SESSIONNAME%,3) If Not ($__LOGINMODE="RDP" OR $__LOGINMODE="ICA") $__LOGINMODE="STD" EndIf
This sets the variable $__LOGINMODE to one of three things:
- STD - a normal desktop login (or console login on a terminal server)
- ICA - A Citrix ICA login.
- RDP - A terminal server login
You can then use this to select a branch of your script to deal with the correct environment.
