Hi,

i wrote a logonscript for our Terminalserver-environment.
We have a Win2003-AD with multiple domains.

When i use ENUMGROUP or INGROUP in the script i get a few errors
in the eventlog every time, *although* the code works and i got the result
of the command!

The errors are always these 5 events:

(Source is always "KIXTART")
EventId: 1722 UserGetLocalGroups failed Error : The RPC server is unavailable. (0x6ba/1722).
EventId: 53 / UserGetInfo failed Error : Networkpath not found. (0x35/53).
EventId: 1322 / GetPG: LookupAccountSid failed Error : No
mapping between account names and security IDs was done. (0x534/1332).
EventId: 1322 / GetPrimaryGroup failed Error : No
mapping between account names and security IDs was done. (0x534/1332).
EventId: 53 / UserModalsGet failed Error : Networkpath not found. (0x35/53).

Can someone help?

thanks, rob

How are you specify the group names?

"group1" or domain1\group2"

Hi, this is the relevant part of the script:

; ...
; ... Zuordung User

Select
Case InGroup ("HZ\HZHU_All") ;Domain\Group
$HuUser = 1
$=WriteLine(9,"# @Userid ist aus der Domäne @LDOMAIN, in der OU: Hu @CRLF")
Case 1
$WiUser = 1
$=WriteLine(9,"# @Userid ist aus der Domäne @LDOMAIN, in der OU: Wi @CRLF")
EndSelect

; ...
; ... Gruppenmitgliedschaften -> Ausgabe in Logdatei

$Count = 0
$Y = EnumGroup($Count)
$=WriteLine (9,"@CRLF# @Userid ist Mitglied folgender Gruppen:@CRLF")
While Len($Y)
$=WriteLine (9,"@CRLF $Y")
$Count = $Count + 1
$Y = EnumGroup($Count)
Loop

as i said, it works fine, but there are always the errors in the eventlog.

thanks, rob

DOes the server have multiple NICs going to different networks? Does it have additional protocols and providers bound to some of the NICs?

yap, the servers are "multihomed", two NICs in different subnets, every NIC is registered in a different DNS-subdomain (wts.xxx.yyy.de and xxx.yyy.de). There is no primary computer dns-suffix anymore.

You may try re-ordering the NICs, putting the one that the AD DC is in at the top.

Not sure why you don't have a primary suffix and if that will give you grief. You should be able to add additional suffixes in the search order field.

You might also try stuffing lmhosts with 0x1b and #DOM records if you don't use WINS.

The NIC-order is already in the way you suggested.

About the suffix: If you have a primary Computer - DNS-suffix, the Server will try to register with that suffix in the DNS. But in our case, it shall only register each NIC with its own dns-suffix. That is due to the fact that the two subnets are physically seperated for security reasons. Imho this architecture is not really clever, but, well, it wasnt my decicion.

Apart from that, i dont really understand why i got these errors although the commands are obviously working.
