could check filesystem settings...
all the shortfilenames and stuff.

and, you use CandyOS, it might have it's own oddities.

idk what it is, a dir of the same filename yields:

Code:

C:\>dir shawn.kix
Volume in drive C is COM1.20.00
Volume Serial Number is 88CC-1D71

Directory of C:\

2005/09/14 08:28 AM 15 shawn.kix
1 File(s) 15 bytes
0 Dir(s) 3,657,863,168 bytes free

I run what you call CandyOS and don't see what you see unless I do NOT supply the extension on the CL.

For example:
Code:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\LLigetfa>cd\KiX4.51b2

C:\KiX4.51b2>kix32 c:\kixscripts\test
test.KIX

C:\KiX4.51b2>kix32 c:\kixscripts\test.kix
test.kix

C:\KiX4.51b2>

In other words, if the extension is inferred, it will be uppercase.

I never rely on KiX to infer the extension. In testing I always drag/drop, and in code I use explicit names.

You need to increase the HEIGHT buffer there Bryce to about 2500 and quit letting the system manage where the Window placement is.
