Back from camping guys. So me and Eric shared the private round (me with the shortest code that passed the test, and Eric with the shortest code that actually works ) ? ;0)

Anybody working on the shortest public code ?

Public coding is now closed.

Final results are as follows:
  • Lowest published KiXgolf score during the private round before renaming of UDF to one-character name: 119 by Lonkero on 28/08/2005 18:18
  • Lowest published KiXgolf score during the private round that passed the test suite at that time: 76 by Shawn on 31/08/2005 13:50
  • Lowest published KiXgolf score during the public round that passed all test suites: 79 by Maciep on 31/08/2005 18:55

I'm allowing Shawn's code for this tournament as he did fulfill all requirements based on the published set of rules, even though the code would fail for specific numbers that were not part of the test suite.

I have amended the rules for the next tournament to allow for updated test suites at any point in time. Also, from now on, the function name will be a generic A() in order to allow for recursive solutions not be penalized.

I would like to suggest one thing - small thing - suggest that the function name be called f() instead of a() where f() is a more widely recognised name for a generic function.

and once we are on it, why calculate the "function f() endfunction" at all?

just score the actual code

Okay, I'll use F(), but the FUNCTION F() ENDFUNCTION will count for everybody as the baseline number.
