I'm running a NT 4.0 DC and have 2K and 4.0 clients. I've messed around with logon scripts, but I haven't figured out how to install programs when a regular user logs on.

I tried those "auto kixstart script making programs" but I wan't to know how they do it. Am I missing a simple .exe file that allows me to specify the privledges a .exe starts with? I would use the "runas" command in Win2K but it doesn't allow you to specify a password in a script .

I know this is possible and would be greatfull if someone could just point me in the right direction.

Another way would be to use the RCMD command from an admin computer to start a remote command (service pack) on the workstations in question.

I haven't used RCMD (come in the resource kit?) but I have used psexec and had little success with that. When using psexec I can see the process on the target computer but it goes no further. Anyways thanks.
