For NT/2000 I am just running this from the main logon script using:

NOT WORKING!!!! Why???? Can anyone spot the mistake???

Yes, you should install the KXRPC.EXE service and you also need to start it on your DC(s). Also, for your 9x clients, you should also insure that they have access to KX16.DLL, KX95.DLL, and KX32.DLL as well.

Looking at your structure of the code snippet you are showing... You must have an ENDIF.

Let's make the appropriate changes:

With the use of GOTO next component, I am going to assume you are using many IFMEMBER(s)? If so, have you looked into using the CASE statement?
