I have used this site as a reference for years to help me learn this tool. Fortunately, anything I needed to know was easily obtained without the need for a post as the information on this site is fantastic. However, I have recently ran into a problem that requires me to write my first post. I am not sure how to fix this and am hoping someone might have a suggestion. We recently setup an active directory DFS root. In my login script I am mapping a drive letter to this DFS root share using the "use" command. The "use" command works for physical shares such as "\\server\share" on both 98 and xp. However tring to map to "\\domain\dfsroot" only works in xp and not 98. On the 98 system.... If I re-run the script once I have completely logged in, it does actually map the desired share. Can someone give me an explanation of this behavior and how I might fix it?

I presume the 98 box has the DS Client installed and it is simply a matter of timing. If that is the case, you may want to consider pushing part of the logon script to the RunOnce key.

Yes the 98 machines have the ds client installed. And I believe you are right Les that it is a matter of timing. I will take your suggestion and see if I can figure out how to add it to the runonce, and thank you for your quick response.

Les I just wanted to let you know that your suggestion worked well. It seems like a kind of a work around, but that is great as long as it works. Thank you very much for the suggestion and timely response. Your assistance is much appreciated.
