For those that care and use, MSN Messenger 7 is out of beta and released !

Download MSN Messenger 7

I've been using the Beta for some time now. Some wonderfull new features. Has a handwriting feature, jumbo animated winks, logging-on yet appearing logged off, and I get a real blast out of giving Lonk "The Nudge" ...

If you cant see the handwriting feature, have to download and install this:

Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer 1.5

Its really funny how Micrsoft keeps resetting that flag that shows the MSN homepage on IM startup - think I've had to reset that one particular flag on every upgrade ... funny eh ?

ja, Handwriting feature is enabled for some and not for others - haven't quite figured out what lays down this other package:

Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer 1.5

But if you dont have it, you dont see the handwriting "tab" in your chatbox. Download and install it if you want to check it out.

Jose... It was missing on mine too... I found a kb doc somewhere suggesting I install the MS Journal Reader, and it fixed it.

Oww.. We have had many issues at work with Journal Viewer and the systems just grinding away until they come around.

What do you use Journal Viewer for Kent (just curious) ? I can report that I've been running it strickly with MSN, for a few weeks, and no issues (on a very heavily used laptop).

Annoyances are still:
* Advertisements
* No offline messages
* Links are always opened through IE, not the default OS-browser

I will post feedback about tablet usage with Journal Reader. As far as I can tell unless you dont work everyday on graphics and stuff tablet is something still not necessary.

Oops! I should read the posts more carefully. I think I got the wrong Journal.

ja, I found.
it's called GAIM

the adblogger does seem to work.
but if you go clicking around with the theme packs... well, nothing can stop you getting spam if you ask for it.
