HI

Can anyone tell me how to stop the results window from opening on top of the normal login script window

I am using the call command a number of times within the scrip to open other kix's scripts which works fine but on only one section it opens a results window ( i have removed the 0 and 1 but the window still opens)

Thanks

Paul

what exactly are you calling that does this? Some code would be helpful.

the whole script is very big so i have included a small section that is causing the problems

;****************************************
;** Connect GroupGroupDrives to Drives *
;****************************************

Function COnnectGroupDrives()

CALL "\\ghclc-file\NETLOGON\main-group-drives.KIX"

Progress( "Connecting Group Drives:")

DbgMessage ("Info","Connecting group drive success ")

EndFunction

;*************************************************************************
;***********************************************************************

;**
;****************************************
;** Connect Deptartment Drives *
;****************************************

Function COnnectdeptartmentDrives()

CALL "\\ghclc-file\NETLOGON\deptartment-Drives.kix"

Progress( "Connecting Department Drives")

Progress( "Connecting Department finished")

endfunction
;***********************************************************************
;***********************************************************************

this is the section that is causing the window to open which looks no diffrent to any of the other sections
;**** printer setup ****

Function Installprinters()

CALL "\\ghclc-file\NETLOGON\clc_printers.kix"

Progress( "Installing printer Please wait")

$rc=DbgMessage ("Info","CLC printers")

EndFunction

well, unless you are using win9x you should delete all the dll's from your systems.

and to check the version of kix, either check the version of the exe or use @kix macro.

Could be wrong, but would assume he will have to check the EXE version as the @KIX macro won't work on 3.x since it was not included in those versions.

So, for now will assume that Paul either has 3.x version, or he has MIXED versions which is BAD NEWS.

Paul, as requested please post the CALLING statement from the main script, and the code from the CALLED script so that we can see what it is you're doing. Also as asked, please check and confirm what the KIX32.EXE or WKIX32.EXE version is from where it is being called.

Then using the CODE TAGS from the board here, post your code between the tags to preserve the formatting.

well, if he is using 3.x (which I doubt), then UDF's would no worky anyways (see FUNCTIONS he has), so I think he should just do a kix32 /? to get version.

basta, you right.
that's why I assumed he got that @kix working
he clearly uses UDFs and 3.xx would have crashed there already.

and if he has anything under 4.11 the console [censored] is expected with wkix32.exe

Okay, yep I missed that function code. But this still applies. MIXED versions which is BAD NEWS

Should not have .DLL which say 3.x and as said before if you don't have any Windows 9x clients then you don't need any DLL files for KiXtart to function properly.
