Does anyone know why KiXtart wasn't included with the Windows 2003 resource kit?

Just a guess, but perhaps during the time when it used to be included Microsoft paid Ruud to work on it. Microsoft no longer pays Ruud to work on it from my understanding.

Is it still a MS product? (Wondering because there is still reference to MS in the legal crap.)

well, it is and isn't.
if you go against the legal [censored] of it, afaik, MS does not care.
it would be ruuds problem.

OMG, that's like looking directly into the Sun! Kind of reminds me of the final scene from Indiana Jones (III) and the Last Crusade where Indy has to prove his worth by overcoming three challenges. I'm afraid I'm not worthy.

In short: the Resource Kit elected to limit its scripting contents (tools, samples, docs) to things that are in the current Windows platform.

I think that means that MS only uses VBScript & JScript (which are part of the OS)
