well, to really use my calc and count, say you have 9G disc with full of video data.
taken that media size is not really 9GB but 9 billion bytes and that the media can hold approx only 8,5G it comes to 68 billion bits.
which on turn comes to 10 seconds of transmission time, taken that the wire can transfer that 6,6G/s all the time without slowing down.
and yes, I wasn't thinking that B/b [censored] at first.
