So, i'm new to this forum and a newbie on kiXtart, but i just love scripting! I wrote this script in kiXtart to connect homedir's and printers to users. Work all fine, but now i want to rename the homedir connection. When i connect to a homedir, it will have the name: "username on 'servername\sharename$' (N:) ". I don't want users to see the servername and sharename, but i want to name it "homedir" or something. Is that possible?

I tried Label() and it works! But any idea why it not always works? Does mapdrive() work better?

I tried label() and mapdrive() UDF. They both sometimes fail to label the share. Must be some way to fix it? Running the udf twice maybe?

i use a script to assign homedirectory's to users. In the script i use the label() and/or mapdrive() udf to rename the share to the homedir. Problem is that sometimes the udf will work, but randomly doesnt work. So, if i log on as a user, it might work. But if i log out and back on chance exist that the renaming did not work. And it's important for me that it works all the time, no matter how many times a user logs in or out. HELP!

I did not map the homedir in the users profiles, but could syncornicity still be a problem? If so, i might build in a delay or something?

Ok, So i build in a sleep, homedirectory's will be mapped after the computer has started up a bit more. Tested it on several computers, works better now. It doesnt happen that often any more.
