Halo,
I tried to write a script to check if a particular drive has been used by any machine.
I tried IF EXIST (H:\*.*), but noticed it doesn't flag out cases when the drive is valid but no files in it.
Then I changed to "Dir("H:\*.*")", then check if @ERROR=0 which indicates the drive is available, regardless whether there's file in it or not.
However, I noticed the Dir command will not work on Win9x, as the @ERROR will all be 3, regardless the drive is available or not.
Appreciate anyone's help on the script to check if the Drive H has been used on any machines.
