You may get snookered though with a lack of GUI support during the install process. Most of the GUI prompt solutions require either IE, or Excel, or KiXforms. I think a popular approach to computer naming is to rename the computer after the installation using NETDOM.
I really would not trust BDUs in the field to assign proper names and would want to automate it somewhat. What if you supplied the unattended.txt file on a floppy with the unique name already in it? Or you could have a separate unattended.txt file builder script that ran on another box that could interact with a central script to assign the unique name.
