How can I see what sp there is on a Nt4/W2k/Xp workstation if I have connected me to the machine remote trough C$ share ?
Probably I have to read some registry keys !?

well, it depends.
for w2k you can do:
readvalue("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion","CSDVersion")

...or read the remote reg.

$CSD = readvalue("\\RemoteComputer\HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion","CSDVersion")

Regardless of OS, there are always files placed somewhere on the harddrive (Not sure where cause im not in the office). I use this method also for hotfixes.
