I'm having real problems mapping home drives for our Windows 95 clients on a Win2K domain. The script is simple enough:
---------- Use * /delete
;Set-up Drive mappings
Use Z: "\\mg-server1\@userid"
@error
Use S: "\\mg-server1\subjects" @error
----------
However, while this works on the Win2K clients, the Z: drive will not map on the 95 clients. S: is fine, but not Z:. I echoed out the value of @userid, and it is as it should be. However, @error for this drive returns 85 - "The local device name is already in use". I can manually map the drive using "net use" once logged on, but it will not work in the KiXtart script.
The really annoying part is that this is a new domain which is replacing a series of independent site-based domains, and the KiXtart script is a copy of the one that used to work perfectly on the old domain!
Any suggestions will be gratefully received!
Thanks,
Iain
