Anonymous Anonymous Unregistered	I need a simple login script that will ask for a username and password after Windows comes up (non-pdc) so that I can then map drives using [net] use and run additonal central scripts from a netlogon share on my Samba server. Anyone have any simple ones. GUI would be great, but I'll settle for anything. BIll

Anonymous Anonymous Unregistered	Exactly. Don't need the machine trust account overhead, Workgroup resources are fine, but need login scripts so that I can dynamically map shares. Preferably ask the user for his u/p then go attach to samba, run a central login script, then run a user or group script if available.

Lonkero Lonkero KiX Master Guru Registered: 2001-06-05 Posts: 22346 Loc: OK	so, basically you are looking for simple script that you run locally. set in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run something like: "logonscript"="%windir%\system32\wkix32 mylogonscript.kix" this is obviously done manually, locally. _________________________ ! download KiXnet
