my 2 cent....
They are just thinking more of the home users who use AU. A lot more options are provided by Microsoft regarding installing patches service packs...sus etc....in organizations. Home users generally just switch their pc's on and AU does its business.
If they M$ didnt include it, home users like Granny Smith would never know it existed...and their pc probably would get attacked and she couldnt access www.i like to knit.com and would have to pay someone like me to come and fix it....... but then every cloud.......
