Hmmm, very strange. The two lines I added just display the error code (would be zero if all went well, but something else if not), and a textual description of the error code.

I dont think that this has actually solved your problem - maybe the root cause lies somewhere else.
Keep the two lines in, and if @error shows a non zero code - this will help you diagnose the fault.
