Which command would replace the dos START command? An example of the START command is as follows:

start "tittle" /w "C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin\trnsfrmr.exe" -n2 -s "D:\Cubes\AllCubesNew\RetailValidation\KeyedRetailSales.pyi"

Thanks!

There is no KiX command. START is a DOS cammand. Just use SHELL or RUN to use START or other DOS commands.
Code:
run '%comspec% /c start www.kixtart.org'

Can someone help me with statement:
shell '%COMSPEC% /c "C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin\trnsfrmr.exe" -n2 -s "D:\Cubes\Net\ModelsCubes\Net Shipments.pyi"'

When I run it, I get the following error:
'C:\program' is not recogonized as an internal or external command

How do I solve the problem since there is a space in the end of the line.

Have you tried it, like this...

Code:
shell "C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin\trnsfrmr.exe -n2 -s D:\Cubes\Net\ModelsCubes\Net Shipments.pyi"

For some reason recently, everyone is suffering from spaces in %COMSPEC% - bizarre!

Anyhoo, try this:
Code:
Shell '"%COMSPEC%" /c "C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin\trnsfrmr.exe" -n2 -s "D:\Cubes\Net\ModelsCubes\Net Shipments.pyi"'

Well if it is %COMSPEC% with spaces then it is either a CUSTOM install or a foreign language version.

Windows NT 4 C:\WINNT\System32
Windows 2000 C:\WINNT\System32
Windows XP C:\Windows\System32

Should not be any spaces in the default installations.
