Thanks for the help. I do know my keys from my values. I am trying to inport a file into the registry. I have tried the usual methods. 'LOADKEY' was the option that seemed to work best but would only work on the local workstation. Am i missing the point or do i need another tool to get this to work.
I will have a look through your answers and give them a blast this morning.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
