Hi guys, how do you size the window that the results of your login script displays when processing the script on W9x clients???

Thanks

Hmmm... don't have an Win9x client to try.

You can use the DOS MODE command on later OS's:
Code:
; Resize running console to 90 wide, 50 high
$iCols=90
$iLines=50
SHELL "%COMSPEC% /C MODE CON: COLS="+$iCols+" LINES="+$iLines

On Win9x, you can create a .pif that controls the characteristics of the window. It should be either kix32.pif or lmscript.pif (if you're doing lmscript emulation-see the Kixtart manual), and should reside wherever the corresponding .exe is (usually netlogon on your server or on each machine in the Windows or Windows\System directory). To do that, just create a shortcut on a local machine to the copy of Kix32.exe or Lmscript.exe you want to run, and modify its properties. You can set it to run either full-screen or windowed, and if windowed, either minimized, maximixed, or "normal". If you choose normal, you can manually size the window, and the .pif will retain your settings. If you are running Kix32 on each machine locally, you can create your .pif on one machine, copy it on to your server, then push it out to each machine that lacks it in your login script itself (but it won't be used until subsequent logins, as it has to already be present when the login script is started).

you can write the console size to registry.
downside is, it affects only on next run.
