ozraelised ozraelised Getting the hang of it Registered: 2002-12-02 Posts: 59 Loc: Albury	Hi all, I wnant to use the Shell command to run a script that at the moment the user need to run from the run menu. I have a window server 2000 and windows xp and 2000 clients. All I need to do is to point the shell to the: I:yyyy\XYS\setup.exe /s . I just do't understent how to run it using Kixtart script and not the users going to the Start and run. Thanks for all your help.

Execution of scripts can take place one of the following ways (I am sure that I am missing some) - (1) At login - Using a BAT file and it starts KIX32/WKIX32 through NETLOGON sharepoint. (2) At login - Using a GPO (3) At login - Direct call from Active Directory (or User Manager) to start KIX32/WKIX32 and then the script. (4) A Batch file - you double-click the batch file to start KIX32/WKIX32. (5) A Shortcut - you double-click a LNK file to start KIX32/WKIX32. (6) A Scheduled Task - Using Task Scheduler to start KIX32/WKIX32 and a script. (7) AT/WINAT - Same thing as Scheduled Task.
