The UDFs are uploaded by anyone in the KiXtart community, and there is no "approval" process, so there are no approved UDFs.

They are of course subject to peer review and comments which means that they are ususally pretty tight, and I dare say the forum mods would remove any dangerous or malicious code.

Use the search page to search the UDF forum if you want to see if there is anything to match your needs. Remember to change the "exact phrase" to "and" in the search options if you have more than one word, and change the search period to "all posts".

When you get a list of possible matches you will very likely get a number of UDFs which do the same or a similar job. This happens for a variety of reasons. You will need to review the UDFs and decide which one best fits your need - start with the most recent, as they may have taken advantage of new facilities provided by later versions of KiXtart.
