Hello. I need some answers to my questions, here goes.
1. I use a messagebox() to display a message, and the timeout is set to sixty seconds, but I would also like to show a countdown till the window closes in the messagebox(), so if they are reading, they will know when the window closes. Can anyone help me with this one?
2. Is there anyway to configure Automatic Windows Update in WinXP and Win2000(SP3?) using a KiXtart-script?

displaying countdown in normal windows messagebox is not possible.
So, if you really must have it, you will need to create a bespoke form using something like KiXforms, Internet Explorer or VB.

Sure, you can configure the Windows Update settings via registry. Check Microsoft for the settings. I'd recommend you do it via GPO if you have Active Directory.

Gos, might want to check out KiXtart.org UDF Collection - http://kixhelp.com/udfs and do a search on Windows Update. Lots of UDF's out there to do the work for you! They're great!

Very true.
But I think the mirrors by Lonkero and myself are much easier to use overall as they can be sorted a couple different ways. Alphabetical as well as by Author as well as a search like Korg has.

Lonkero Currently this site is updated more often then KiXhelp site, but hope to change that soon.

I'm looking for the same solution. We're not on AD yet and I want to bring up a SUS server and point all my workstations to it (for Windows Updates) via a script. I couldn't find a UDF that had anything to do with Windows Update. Anyone know what reg entries deal with the Windows Update Service?
