Because Access requires a printer to be installed the teachers when taking the laptops home will not allow them to run the software properly. Is their a way using kix to intall a printer driver (any will do) to the lpt port? Steve. _________________________ Dont worry because a rival imitates you. burnsc burnsc Starting to like KiXtart Registered: 2004-04-14 Posts: 171	There is a udf available here(AddPrinter by Al_Po) that would allow local printer installation. I reviewed the code to try to get a feel for what it was doing. The only ceavat I saw(if I read it right) was that either windows would have to have the driver or you would have to have the driver available to the computer somehow.
