normandbr normandbr Fresh Scripter Registered: 2004-05-17 Posts: 19 Loc: Montreal, canada	I am trying to run a .exe from kixtart, this exe follow by many switch is sending an email, I use the following command run "program.exe -sn switch1 -rt switch2 -qw switch3" from dos it works fine,but from a script in kixtart, I got an error. Any idee someone. Thanks

normandbr normandbr Fresh Scripter Registered: 2004-05-17 Posts: 19 Loc: Montreal, canada	The program is custom, done in house in the company. The name is smtp.exe, this will not tell you nothing more. I tought, they is maybe a special way to run an exe. The error is, can not send the email.

Have you had a look at our FAQ regarding SHELL and RUN? You might try to include %comspec%. _________________________ Give a man a fish and he will be back for more. Shawn Shawn Administrator Registered: 1999-08-13 Posts: 8611	I assume that maybe one of your "switches" takes an email address ? If so, make sure you double-up on your @ signs when running the program from inside the script, like: myprog -a shawn@@kixtart.org -Shawn
