cwhitmore cwhitmore Starting to like KiXtart Registered: 2001-05-23 Posts: 102 Loc: Austin, Texas, USA	I was able to run the following command once, but it won't run again. I tried running it on another PC with the same login name, but it won't run on that PC either. Shell "%COMSPEC% /c Copy \\server\publicdr\aidown~1\popupb~1\google~1.lnk C:\docume~1\@USERID\Desktop" Any ideas?

Kdyer Kdyer KiX Supporter Registered: 2001-01-03 Posts: 6241 Loc: Tigard, OR	If memory serves, you are copying a .URL file and not a .LNK. However, why are you doing - Code: COPY \\server\publicdr\aidown~1\popupb~1\google~1.lnk C:\docume~1\@USERID\Desktop When the following would work - Code: $desktop=READVALUE('HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders','Desktop') COPY "\\server\publicdr\aidown\popupblocker1\google blocker.lnk" $desktop Note: You can surround your long file names (LFN) with double-quotes ("). The other thing is that you will do better by reading in the location where the user's desktop is located in the registry.
