If I close any Kixtart script by clicking on the "X", Kixtart will cause a restart (not reboot) of the PC. This seems to happen on any of the three PC's tested (3 IT people).
Using Kixtart 4.22, any ideas?

This is done by design to stop users trying to abort the script. Type BREAK ON at the begining of your script and you will be able to exit without the PC logging you off.

restart? now you are lying, it only causes logoff.
Bit rough there? I was mistaken, it did a logoff, not a restart (though I did say it did not reboot). You both are correct there, it was the "Break On" issue, which I have added and it now works great.
I have looked at the manual for the main diffrences between "wkix32.exe" and "kix32.exe" but don't have a clear cut answers. From what I have figured out:
WKix32 is the "windows version" or "Console-less" Wkix32 disables the "X" (from post previous to this) It runs asynchronous which means it will not pause for you and you must use "start" commands to make sure it pauses.
I am currently using just "Kix32.exe" and it seems to be working fine for me. Is there any reason to use the "WKix32" version?

Without running a batch file (NT/2000/XP/2003) ONLY! Windows 9x must run a batch file.
it has been my experience that you don't "have" to run a batch file for win9x. Simple call your logon script "kixtart.kix" and run "kix32.exe" for the logon script. The kix executable, will find and run kixtart.kix all on it's own. You could even go so far as to rename kix32.exe (or wkix32.exe) to logon.exe if you wanted to....
