Have you installed KX16.DLL and KX32.DLL on the Windows 98 PCs? They are required to connect to Netapi.dll on Windows 9x.

Are you sure you typed it right? In the subject line you have @LDRIVER and then in the post you have:
Quote:

Exemple :

Command = ? ldrive

No, it's not OK.

it should be @LDRIVE and not @LDRIVER.

You're welcome!!!

I'm not sure if this is even possible on Win9x. I cant get it to work either. Are you needing this during the login process? If so can you just point to Z:\ since Win98 will map Z:\ to the netlogon share to run login scripts and such.

well, that isn't a solution but sounds like bug.
ldrive is Z: on win9x, thus kix should return that on win9x.
if not, it's broken.

Like Lonkero said...More than likely a bug.

Would you mind explaining why you need the @ldrive info? If It's Win9x then you already know it will be Z:\ so why use the macro. I know this is only a workaround but it may be your only choice.

Explain what it is you are trying to accomplish using @ldrive and maybe we can help you get around the problem.

Follow the exemple :
RUN @ldrive+"\script.bat"
I used @ldrive, because i have various servers and each and every used the same thing script, changing (to change) only some lines.
Thats lines be files *.ini what be in paste netlogon in server.
Because have use the command "@ldrive".
Someone machine whith Win9x show how "\\servername\netlogon", other not.

Is this during login or after? If it is during log in then maybe do something like...

Code:

If InStr (@ProductType,"Windows 9")
RUN "Z:\script.bat"
Else
RUN @ldrive+"script.bat"
Endif

Since Z:\ is assigned to the netlogon on Win9x machines during login. I know this is only a work around but...It's the only thing I can think of. The real fix would be to get rid of Win9x anyways.

RUN @ldrive+"\script.bat"

should neverever work as it comes out as:
run "\\logonserver\netlogonshare\\script.bat"

You're right...changed my post above. I was thinking it did along the same lines as @lserver or %logonserver% and left off the ending slash. My bad...
