A far better (and simpler) method if you are not a 24x7 shop is to restart the terminal server(s) overnight and then run a purge to clean up temporary files and profiles.

For example, schedule a restart for 01:00, and housekeeping for 02:00.

You can use DELPROF from the resource kit as part of the auto-housekeeping, but in my experience it misses quite a few profiles so every now and again you will want to have a look in the profiles directory and clean up manually.

Profiles should not ever get left behind unless you have a blue-screen or similar catastrophic failure - in which case you want to run the housekeeping tidy up routines on restart.

Hung users should not stop the profiles being copied back and deleted as this is handled by the system. As soon as you log the hung user off via server manager the system will deal with the profile.

Terminal server runs much more smoothly and stably with regular restarts, and will save you a load of aggravation in the long run.
