don't bother with LUser's temp files either. They get deleted whenever we scrub and re-image thier computers.

There is a point to cleaning up the users PC ( temp files, IE temp & history files, etc..) though; at our 200 workstation school PC's get used by many users. not cleaning up the PCs would fill them up & slow them down in no time, no matter how big the HD.
Lets say, each PC would run a year without cleaning up before having to be re-imaged. With 200 PCs and 200 effective working days in a school year, that would mean i'd have to fix 1 PC each day, spending like 15...20 minutes re-imaging it. ( = 50 hours a year! )
So now it does make sense spending 30 minutes once to figure out a few lines of code that will clean up & keep them runig smoothly for their expected lifetime ( or 3 yrs at least - remember we are a school...)

How about when the install needs to complete after rebooting and you yank the files before it finishes!

On a side note, we clean up the PCs during logoff script, not logon, and i've never had issues with this.
