well. first of all, username.000 or username.machine_name says that there is some problem on netprofile usage. maybe corrupted file or network is unavailable.anyway checking for existenze is not neccessasy. just overwrite it on every logon!
if you don't want to use kix's inbuilt addprogramitem()-function use "%userprofile%\start menu\programs" as the path to copy your selfmade shortcut-file which can reside at netlogon-share (@ldrive).
