btw, on such client w2k try updating to sp4.
even though I don't have policies or even AD I still get with every client about 10 minute "setting basic policy" screen when policy hasn't been aplied for a day or so.
obviously, I have tweaked that in registry... f MS.
but anyways, that update might help you...
